This was a very slow service. As the months went on after receiving the internet the service got worse each month. They don't tell you when you receive the equipment that when you decide to cancel they won't disconnect your service until the end of your billing cycle. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Sucks ,can't stream anything ,what a joke they lie about service! Two months when our contract is up we are kicking there sorry excuse for the internet down the road , 2 years no service worth a spit ! Do not buy it ,find something better, they are a joke and lie about service being good in a rural area like where we live !

This SUCKS! We can't even watch a movie by streaming. I was told that should not be a problem. Once you use your high speed allowance, the internet is slow and choppy. This is only my third week using Viasat. I wish I would have known this, but I needed an internet provider. I am not at all happy.

Lousy service, equipment broke down, customer service hands are tired. To speak to management it takes 3 to 5 business days for them to initiate a return call addressing your concerns. All around they suck.

Viasat is the worst company I have ever had to deal with for several reasons. In addition to my monthly fee I pay extra for service calls. This is the second time I have had to wait a month for a repair. The first time a service call was confirmed, in the Viasat notes it says I have poor cell reception, the tech did not come as scheduled when my cell did not work. A new date was set, the date and times kept changing. Each time a new person called me they were confused as to when the tech was coming giving me conflicting information. The tech ended up arriving the day before service was scheduled, lucky someone was home! I rent my place in the summer and several guests are not coming back because there was no WIFI. This has happened before, you should not have dishes in areas you can't service in a timely manner. The phone system told me I had no credit card on record and put me in a loop when in fact my card is on record for the past 3 years. Your phone service system is so frustrating I hate calling Viasat. As soon as I can find an alternative I am dumping your company. My neighbors, also in the National Seashore, feel the same way and are moving to alternative companies. The people answering the phones are nice but so limited as to how they can help. I am one dissatisfied customer and have never had such negative feelings toward a company. I would never recommend Viasat.

Only option available for my rural home. Paid $175/month "unlimited" (on a business plan, as I work remotely). Couldn't maintain conference calls or video chats for work. Streaming usually worked well for about a week and then horribly or not at all for the remaining 3 weeks of the cycle. Finally moved to somewhere with better internet options and struggled to disconnect service. First attempt- recording said under 2 minute wait time and then transferred me to an after call survey about the call I never had. Second attempt - "under two minute wait time" and then disconnected on me. Third attempt- finally got to a rep that took my info, kept telling me to hold on, then claimed my info all disappeared and she needed to start over, kept me on the phone for 11 minutes before finally getting to the disclosure for cancellation. Was told I would still need to pay another month of service even though it was getting turned off immediately. Told there will be a $300 charge if equipment is not received back within 30 days from this call, but have to wait for them to send me the box and info where to ship it back to. The prompts on the automated system gives and option for cancellation but when you select it, it then gives another list of options (none of which involve cancellation). Was initially told that the service was unlimited and would be good for working remotely and streaming, but that was not the case. Priced too high for the service provided and the customer service reps merely read a script and it feels like they try to delay long enough for you to get frustrated enough to hang up and not cancel. Horrible experience from beginning to end. If I ever move back to an area where this is the only option, I will drive out of town everyday to work from a library somewhere before paying for this service again.

$200 a month for 7 days of so called high speed data, Satellite internet sucks. I'm retired and watch tv a lot!

This was the worst experience with any company. It never worked they would put me on hold or discount the call. When the bill was do they would say you need to pay before we can fix. This went on for 3 months before I canceled. It was a long process but I got the fee wavied.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT I PROMISE..

They sold my boyfriend an expensive plan with low data saying it could handle multiple devices but can barely handle our smart tv. They just want to gouge you for money

IT NEVER WORKED PROPERLY!!! Hours on the phone, paying for technicians, promises of reduced rates. After 3 months I canceled and still had to pay early termination fees. I was basically screwed out of $1100. Impossibly slow for anything especially tv. Too much lag for phone conversation. Unreliable for other internet usage. Don’t do it.
